This new Melissa Frances line is gorgeous......

.....especially if you have babies!!!! It would be great for victorian style pages too!!!!!! (esp. distressed a little bit.) GOTTA HAVE IT!!!!! Gonna have to get a second job to keep up this habit. See more about it at Melissa Frances Blog.

Snowy day at home....

well, it's isn't terribly snowy, but it's about all we're going to get I think. I would love to have just ONE BIG SNOW......I guess it's global warming, or the end of time, or something.... Sorry to have ranted so much yesterday, but that boy at karate really aggravates me. He's got to be like 11 or 12 yo, and should know better. His brother acts nothing like him, in fact he's very considerate of the other students. I don't know what happened to him, I just don't think it's fair to all of the other kids who are there to learn, and spend their money to learn the sport.

I'm off my high horse now, I'm going to try and catch up on the things I intended to do yesterday.

Another Monday down.......

Didn't get much done today, although I woke up with big plans. I cooked the kids a big breakfast and started on the MOUNTAIN of laundry that had piled up during the boil water advisory.........then Mom called and I had to go to her house and it disrupted the whole day. On the brighter side, the kids were so happy to see her. I didn't get home til 2pm so it was all I could do to get the kids bathed, myself showered, and get to karate on time.

THEN........at karate, we had a fill in teacher, and our "prize" student really turned on. He was turning cartwheels and jumping and hopping around. I can't stand it. He was next to Carlee in line and I was afraid he would cartwheel right on top of her, and he's so much bigger than she is. The teacher tried his best to keep him in line, but whenever he is there and his mother or grandmother isn't he is just uncontrollable. Then he got mad about losing his sparring match and threw his equipment (or should I say the dojo's equipment). I've just about had it with him, I'm going to have to say something if he doesn't straighten up a little..............

SO SLEEPY.........

I HATE WORK....I know I should be thankful for a great job, with great hours,I just don't like being away from my kids. If I'm gone just one day I feel like I've missed so much. I missed Asa beating his first Guitar Hero song. I know that isn't much, but he was SO EXCITED!!!!! I'll never get to see it. I just want to be there for everything. I can't understand how parents can spend so much time away from their kids. The only time I was ever away from either of mine was leaving Asa when I had to go to the hospital to have Carlee...and that about killed me. Well, guess you're tired of the ramblings of a tired, tired, Mom, maybe tomorrow will be better.

I AM SO TIRED......

And it seems like I can't get a good night's sleep anymore. And everyone knows I LOVE TO SLEEP. It's so frustrating. I can't wait til Monday, maybe then I can sleep in late!!!!!

LOVE MAKING MEMORIES

I LOVE their new line Animal Crackers-it's new this spring and I CAN'T WAIT to get me some!!!!!!!

Another COLD DAY..

First of all-Happy Birthday to Sissy-she's like 92 or something today (kidding), anyway Happy Bday Sis!!!!!

It's SO COLD here today, and having the window open in the bedroom to dissipate the paint fumes isn't helping-we did get a little snow tho, the first real snow of the year. But its still only about an inch, think CB is right about the snowdome.

Back to MM to try and win something!!!!

The answer my friend, is blowin in the wind..........

.....or at least our shingles are. Last week's storm must have blown some of our shingles loose, and today's windy weather has blown those into the yard, where obviously they don't do much good. Guess we'll have to move the re-shingling project up a year sooner than we had planned, guess that's just how things go. At least we're healthy and happy, and shingles can be replaced.

'Nother Day

is gone. Asa got a new haircut-he looks two years older now!!!!! I'm glad the stormy weather is over. The kids did So GoOd when we had to wake them up to take them to the basement... they're so resilient. My BIL had three bundles of shingles he had to replace, of course they always have more wind than we do-but to the best of my knowledge we didn't see any damage from the wind here. We're very blessed. It did turn cold, but of course the 70 degree temps in Feb ObViOuSlY aren't normal, or we wouldn't have had the third most tornados ever in one day. Well, have to work tomorrow, need to zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

SCRAPPIN

I have gotten So ExCiTeD about scrapbooking. I did some YeArS ago, and have collected cool supplies ever since, but with the kids have never had time to do it. WELL, I stumbled upon the online scrappin scene and WOW.........I've got to get my stuff out and start. I have literally thousands of pics of the kids so I should have plenty of fodder for the fire. More to come soon-

Home.....finally

Long day at King's Daughters today with my SIL......its a long story, but she had a dr's appt and a lot of tests, which of course we don't know the results of yet.......hopefully everything will come out OK. We took the kids with us and they were so good, they did get tired so I took them out and drove around just to break up the day and their boredom.......I'm so proud of them, we even missed karate but they said it was OK because they wanted their aunt to feel better. I'm so blessed to have such great kids.

Carlee had her first filling yesterday :(

well......actually she had two. She was such a brave little girl, I was so proud of her. She did better than I do when I go to the dentist, of course we have a great dentist, so that always helps. After it was over, she just hopped up and said, "are we late for karate?" then she went to class and has acted like nothing happened ever since.

They had a great class at Karate!!!!!! They have such great focus, especially for their ages. I wish they had classes three days a week instead of only two, but that's all that is available to us so we'll take what we can. I can't wait until they get another belt, they'll be so excited!!!!!!

Got to go fix breakfast, my big boy just got up. Talk to you soon.........

Another COLD day...

Here we are again, in the middle of Jan......freezing cold. Had the fam down last nite for videos games and dinner.....everyone had a great time, especially with the Wii. It's funny to see grown men boxing imaginary opponents LOL.

We're still working on redecorating the kids rooms. Carlee got the "baby room" while Asa is getting my room and I'm moving to the bedroom no one was using. The house is a mess moving everything around, painting, etc (but then again it always is LOL). The wallpaper in my room was a b.tch to remove because whoever put it up didn't prepare the wall properly. Danny had to work a week on just ONE WALL---but he finally got it down.....now Asa just has to pick a color-he's narrowed it down to about 20 LOL....oh, well.

Looking forward to another day of washing clothes and cleaning.....it would be nice to just clean everything and that be it...but of course its just a neverending process, then you die LOL. We do have karate this evening, so I will be able to get out of the house for a while, talk to you soon.

I'm BACK

Sorry I've been gone so long...with the holidays and work I've been SOOOOOO BUSSSY. The kids got their yellow belts!!!!!!!YEAH!!!!! I'm jealous-thinking about starting Karate myself, it would be so good for me plus it would make it easier for me to help the kids practice. Sorry this will be short, got to go, be back soon.

New Dining Room Hardwood - YEAH

I finally got my hardwood put down in my dining room-after two years. I'm so glad, they did a good job. The kids love it, they say it would be good to play basketball on.
They had karate again today, Mr Williams was their teacher. They really seem to be catching on. Their sparring gear is supposed to be here by the end of the week, and they got Williams Karate t-shirts, and that made them happy. I love it when my babies are happy!!!!!

We went to Little Learners today

I took the kids to Little Learners today, and they loved it, again. They made a paper turkey and played games. Above is a video.

A night out with my family

Danny and I took the kids to see the Doodlebops last night in Lexington. They had a blast. Asa was his usual reserved self, just kind of sitting back and taking it all in. Carlee was her usual party self, up and dancing through the whole show. Carlee didn't even make it back to the interstate before she fell asleep. Asa lasted til a little past Winchester, but then he and his Daddy fell asleep. They really had a great time.

A Fun Weekend with the kids

I'm off work for a weekend.......finally. Uncle Joe gave the kids a bow and arrow and they got to try it out. It's a good thing Uncle Charlie was there, I was busy grilling and didn't have time to fool with trying to keep them from hurting themselves. Charlie has such patience with them, he's a great Uncle. Asa got disgusted at the beginning because he said "he couldn't do it" but Charlie kept helping him and he finally got the hang of it. Carlee liked it too, she just liked being outside after she finally got over her cold.

Trick or Treat 2007

Well, obviously we went trick or treating last night. The kids loved it. Carlee had a snotty nose, but she still had a good time. They got to see all four of their Grandmas and got a whole bunch of candy!!!!!!! Carlee's Supergirl costume was a hit along with Asa's Knight costume. She liked hers because it was silky (mostly velvet) and Asa just wanted something with a sword. If you look at the pics-Asa made his own shield, he was so proud.

My babies are so funny

As he sat down he said "I wish I had a sweater vest." I said "yeah, and then all you need is a pocket protector." He said, "Timmy Turner says sweater vests are girl magnets!." I couldn't believe it-he is so funny.

Before we left the house Carlee had put on her pink sunglasses. I said "do you need to wear sunglasses and be dressed up for the movies?" and she said "you have to be fashionable if you're going to the movies"

I love my babies.

I don't have to work til Friday-yeah

I'm so glad I don't have to work til Friday. I get so sick of work. Sissy,
Steve, and Danielle came in this weekend-I can't believe how grown up Danielle is-she just turned 13 and it seems like she should only be 5 herself. Carlee and Asa love her so much.

We had karate again today-Mr. Williams said in another week or so they should be able to join the regular group class. I don't know whether that will be better or not. Carlee gets distracted so easily. I guess we'll just have to see how it goes.

Another day with my babies!!!!!!!!!!!

Another day with my babies!!!!! They amaze me everyday with their intelligence, creativity, and simple love for life. This morning they've made a treasure map and decorated the living room like "The Backyardigans" and recreating an episode. They even made vines and hung on the wall. I don't know where they get their creativity and energy, but I truly am blessed with my children. Carlee even says, Mommy I love you but I love God the "moster" because you are supposed to. And when Asa does something he knows he's not supposed to, he says "Sorry God" under his voice. I just love them both SOOOOO MUCH!!!!!

Sorry it's been a while

Sorry its been a while since I posted. I've been soooooooo busy this week. Had to work 13 hrs on Monday (and take the kids to karate), then Tuesday had to take concessions supplies to the grade school, shop for groceries, and then go in and work 4 hrs Tuesday night. Yesterday had to wash clothes and go back to Karate. Today I'm painting the dining room and have a PTO mtg this afternoon at 4:30. I guess it never ends. I have to work again Friday and then CPR training on Saturday. Katie's state band competition is in Louisville on Saturday-but I'm not going to get to go. It's just too far to go to see, call me lazy I guess. I'll try to post daily again, we'll see.

Another wonderful day at work

Here I am again at work-what joy. I miss my babies terribly. I got on
cafepress.com today and tried to start up a t-shirt "business" but I don't
really understand how the graphics work. I guess I'll have to try at home.
I'm SSSSOOOOOOOOO glad that I don't have to work tomorrow. I need a good
night's rest. Talk to you soon.

Another Wednesday at home

Just another day at the office!!! My wisdom tooth is killing me today, I know I'm going to have to get them all pulled, but I'm not until I can't stand it anymore. I think if an oral surgeon was here last night at 2am I would have had it done non-medicated!!!! I couldn't sleep at all.

We've got karate again today. Carlee seems to like it even more than Asa does. They're both so cute out there, and I'm kind of jealous. I practice with them here and wish I could do it too. I know I could but I'm too shy (or embarassed) to get out there and do it. Maybe after I get a little more used to it I might, but not now.

After we get back we've got to do our homework for little learners. They're so excited about that too. Guess I need to go now and get this messy house cleaned, I don't know why I keep trying, it's never been clean before.

Tuesday, October 9, 2007

Hey again

Sorry its been a few days since I've posted. We've been busy. Had to work Fri, Sat, and Sun and then yesterday I went looking for hard wood flooring and then we had Karate. I can't decide whether or not to do traditional hardwood or to do the hand carved hardwood. Guess only time will tell, you know I don't make decisions very fast. The kids loved Karate class again. They say they like Mr. Williams the best and he's so patient with them. I think Asa realized that he needs to practice more, and that's good. That's one of our goals for today is to prepare for Wednesday's class. I've got beans that need to be blanched and frozen, so I'll go for now.

Good Day

Asa gets his 2nd karate lesson today, and Carlee gets her first. He says he sometimes takes kids that are under five and since Asa is already doing it it will work out great for me. They're so excited. Carlee has been practicing already with Asa and has about learned everything that he learned at the first lesson. CARLEE She is going to do good too I think.

They built a robot last night with their Daddy. They took a big box and cut holes out for the body then used a smaller box for the head. Today, Asa colored the head. He thinks it looks better now. He loves building things.

I'm glad I get to stay home with them. It means so much to me. Asa ate a lunchable today, but Carlee wanted her usual again, chips and cheese. I swear she's going to turn into a block of cheese someday.

That's all for now, talk to you later.

Where's the comments

Blogging sucks if no one is looking at it. I can't get ANYONE to join facebook, and that is where I'm linked to this blog. Seems like everybody thinks they don't have the time to do facebook of anything else new, but they have time to call and this is even quicker. Asa and Carlee loved their Karate class, you should see them in their Gis. I have pics on Facebook. They can't wait until Wednesday night's class. They practiced until 10pm last night, showing Danny everything even their warm up exercises. I hope they continue to be this happy with the class, especially since its so close to home.

I'm getting so tired of the same old housework day after day-my husband would say I don't do any. And trying to decide what to cook for supper, agghh. It's the same old crap everyday. I can't get Carlee to try anything different. All she wants is meat and cheese and juice. No veggies. I've tried everything, got any ideas?????

The kids finally got to go to karate

The kids finally got to go to their Karate class, and they loved it. I'm so glad they did since its so close to home and relatively inexpensive.

Another hectic Monday

September is finally over, thank goodness. I've got a busy day, already been to the library ($4.50 for overdue Dr. Seuss, give me a break), to the grocery, and the post office. I was going to EVES but apparently they cancelled tonite's game without telling me so they don't need the concession stuff, I'll take it tomorrow. I've still got to take Asa to his first Karate lesson, and Carlee says she wants to do it now too. I hope he'll let her, he says he starts at five years of age, but it would be nice to have them at the same level so I wouldn't have to do as much running. Then come back home, clean, make supper. I have to go to work to get a break. Oh, well, at least Danny's not on strike this time. I went by the picket line and there were only three nurses there, Paula, Rainy, and Melissa. Saw Rhonda D. at the grocery and she said Paula was her only nurse who didn't show for work, about what I expected. Guess we'll see how this strike compares with the one from the spring.
